I'm Carlos — a software engineer who uses Formula 1 as a lens for practicing full-stack engineering, data pipelines, and analytical systems. Overtake is that practice, made public.
The Project
Overtake ingests live F1 telemetry via a Python ETL pipeline, stores it across PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, and surfaces it through an ASP.NET Core API and a Next.js dashboard — including a drag-and-drop widget canvas with per-user layout persistence.
Every architecture decision here — columnar storage for query performance, JWT-scoped user data, server/client component boundaries — reflects a real tradeoff, not a tutorial default.
