I'm Carlos — a software engineer who uses Formula 1 as a lens for practicing full-stack engineering, data pipelines, and analytical systems. Overtake is that practice, made public.
The Project
Overtake ingests F1 telemetry on demand via FastF1, keeps standings and race history in PostgreSQL, and surfaces it through an ASP.NET Core API and a Next.js dashboard — including a drag-and-drop widget canvas with per-user layout persistence.
Every architecture decision here — on-demand telemetry serving, JWT-scoped user data, server/client component boundaries — reflects a real tradeoff, not a tutorial default.
